Twitch Prime’s Developer Experience team is seeking a Software Development Manager (SDM) to build Partner-facing tools and services. As a SDM on Developer Experience, you will work closely with the team’s Product Manager, Technical Program Manager, and lead SDE to build and launch Partner products that simplify onboarding, Twitch Prime usage, and improve their product's quality. Your tools and services will help make it easier for game developers to use Twitch Prime and will ultimately help deliver more content to Twitch Prime customers.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Hire and develop a strong and highly effective team
  • Provide a vision and leadership for an organization of senior and junior engineers responsible for the development of highly-scalable, manageable, and secure technologies and tools
  • Create goals, plans and commitments for yourself and your team, then deliver consistently against them.
  • Drive the architecture and technology choices for platform
  • Work with internal and external game teams to integrate with Twitch Prime
  • Collaborate within and outside of the team to clarify product requirements and align on technical vision and execution.
  • Mentor and groom junior engineers and senior leaders.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) experience
  • 5+ years of large-scale engineering experience in a leadership capacity
  • 3+ years in a personnel management capacity

Preferred Qualifications

  • Passion for gaming
  • Master's degree or relevant work experience
  • Great communication skills and ability to work effectively on shared projects with designers, testers, engineers, and executives
  • Ability to work in fun focused environment!
