As a member of the Corporate Communications team, the desired candidate will work cross-functionally to communicate Acer’s strategy and vision to journalists, influencers and thought leaders through compelling narratives and a variety of communication vehicles. Working closely with executives, internal stakeholders and industry partners, Acer is seeking an organized team-player who works with integrity and attention to detail, and is tech-savvy enough to grasp new or complex concepts and explain them in simple language. We are seeking an individual to join the Corporate Communications team based in Xizhi, New Taipei City. The desired candidate will need to demonstrate proven ability to write concise, accurate, and compelling Chinese copy for press releases and corporate collaterals.   • Research, write, edit and distribute press releases and media alerts.
  • Research, write and edit internal communication material to Acer employees.
  • Write and edit content for other departments including, but not limited to, annual financial report, executive speeches, presentations, event invitations, etc.
  • Translate English press releases or other materials into Chinese.
  • Maintain and update information on Acer’s corporate websites.
  • Organize and support events including press conferences, exhibitions, and media interviews.
  • Liaise with product marketing, investor relations, key spokespeople and other departments to define messaging for press releases and corporate statements.
  • Liaise with and answer enquiries from media, individuals and other organizations.
  • Coordinate with regional public relations officers on press releases, events and other projects.
  • Collating and analyzing media coverage.
  • Develop and maintain all PR materials and databases, including corporate biographies, media kits, background information, media lists, etc.

Required

  • Native Mandarin capabilities with proven Traditional Chinese copywriting skills, and ability to communicate in English.
  • At least 5 years of work experience in a public relations capacity, either in-house or at an agency.
  • Experience in the IT industry and understanding of corporate financial reporting are preferable.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in marketing, communications, computer science or related field.
  • Ability to analyze data and market insights to find appealing news angles.
  • Proactive, creative, team player, with excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) proficiency.

Preferred

Candidates based in Taiwan will be preferred.

Salary: Negotiable
