What We Need

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join the 2K Product team to support our partners at 31st Union. Your role will be to help strategically shape content, live service, and monetization plans to marry player value and commercial goals. You will work closely with studios and product leadership to develop, guide, implement, and optimize the Live Services strategies supporting our new IPs' creative vision.

What You Will Do

Closely collaborate with development and publishing teams to drive, define and deliver product & business strategy for unannounced projects, including:

  • Collaborate with studio and publishing teams to build Product Requirements for in-game features (e.g., in-game store, events, messaging, personalization, progression systems, economy, and post-launch content delivery), focused on player engagement, satisfaction and conversion. Effectively partner with studio and publishing teams to guide and support implementation.

  • Use data, insights (research), and user testing to build a deep understanding of player behaviors, engagement patterns, content preferences, and player trust.

  • Partner with Monetization and Commerce to drive good player and business outcomes. Develop goals and methods that link good business and user experience in tandem.

  • Define telemetry needs, KPIs, reporting, and analyses needed to develop insights into player behaviors in partnership with the Analytics team. Analyze data and translate it into insights and strategies that enable us to meet and exceed core franchise targets.

  • Team up with marketing to manage player messaging, promotional work, and live service delivery that works both in-game and out.

  • Work alongside Commercial Growth teams to build strategies for pricing, in-game promotions, SKUs, and ongoing content.

  • Market Intelligence – Deliver research and thought leadership on the industry landscape, trends, competitor products, and recommendations that help us grow and evolve our thinking.

  • Be the Product Champion – Share insights, processes, and lessons learned with other studio & publishing teams.

  • Be the Player Advocate – Deeply understand and advocate for the player’s perspective; be their advocate in the room who understands them and speaks up for them to make sure we’re authentically serving our players.

What Will Make You a Great Fit

  • Data-informed decision maker who is able to balance business priorities, customer perspective, resources, capacity, and partner needs.

  • Abstract-capable thinker who can pull out patterns and instances into themes, theses, and strategies

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify, structure, and communicate information for all levels of the organization

  • Alignment-building bias. Preference for collaboration, influence and education to drive results.

  • 5+ years of experience, including product management, production, live ops, game design, or other related fields. Experience working on AAA or Strategy games with post-launch content and iteration loops.

  • Experience working in games/games economies for Live Services and strong engagement titles

  • Intimate, strong understanding of service-based products and their methodology - including drivers of performance, player needs/sensitivities and content models.

  • Able to thrive in ambiguous environments and enjoy creating clarity

  • Strong preference for being a fire marshal vs. a firefighter. Able to identify, communicate, and mitigate risks before they are problems

  • Passion for games and ability to understand and deconstruct what makes a successful live game

  • Strong critical thinking, strategy, problem-solving, business analysis, and data-informed decision-making capabilities

Bonus Points

  • Well-played within online and multiplayer games

  • Proficiency with business intelligence tools and comfortable building models to explore opportunities while working closely with analytics

  • Interested and engaged learned with the market space and what’s going on in our industry - including constantly updating that understanding

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $100,000 and $160,000 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
