About The Role

100 Thieves is seeking a Director of Marketing Creative Strategy / Art Director to lead the strategic direction of marketing creative to transform marketing strategies into immersive experiences that help our fans and partners connect more deeply with the 100 Thieves brand. The Director of Marketing Creative must have fluency across graphic design, motion design, typography, photography and illustration with an outstanding eye for detail. This is a leadership role that requires collaboration across multiple internal and external teams.

Requirements

  • 7+ years relevant design or creative leadership experience leading creative teams in working in fashion, sports, and lifestyle/ pop culture
  • Experience within a top tier creative agency or brand creative group required
  • Fluency across graphic design, motion design, typography, photography and illustration with demonstrated mastery of Adobe Creative and iWork Suites
  • Portfolio of award winning work
  • Impeccable attention to detail, excellent art direction and design sensibility
  • Strong grasp on culture, with a keen understanding of what is relevant and an eye for upcoming trends
  • In depth understanding of media and social platforms and advanced understanding of what makes content engaging and successful across platforms and audiences
  • Someone who enables unique and unexpected insights to fuel big ideas and innovation
  • Extremely strong leadership experience, including direct team leadership and a passion for team development
  • Ability to navigate and influence across a fast-paced start-up organization
  • Strategic thinker with experience synthesizing information to generate actionable insights
  • Ability to think and act both strategically and tactically
  • Strong executive presence, communication skills, and a positive and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Excellent presentation skills – both within the department and to stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of creative professionals with backgrounds in copywriting, graphic design, motion graphics, and work closely with external creatives in web design and video production/editing
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of talented Creative Strategists, including inspiring the team to achieve challenging goals and high standards of performance
  • Set creative goals and vision for 100 Thieves
  • Advise internal and external teams on the importance of the brand voice, authenticity, and marketing objectives
  • Build and cultivate strategic partnerships and collaboration across the organization internally and externally to incorporate perspectives, facilitate change and ensure sound strategic recommendations
  • Select and manage potential external vendors and agencies that provide specializations that go outside the core competencies of the in-house team
  • Demonstrate creative thought leadership, keeping ahead of trends and providing proactive inspiration and recommendations
