Join our IT Operations team as a Remote Support AV Engineer, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring seamless collaboration for our global workforce. Your short-term success will be defined by quickly resolving AV issues in our Zoom Rooms, ensuring smooth meetings and presentations. In the long term, you'll proactively monitor and maintain our AV systems, preventing problems before they occur and becoming the go-to expert for all things AV.Your impact will be felt across the organization as you empower our teams to connect and collaborate effectively. You'll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge AV technology, develop your skills, and make a real difference in our day-to-day operations.This is a full-time position with occasional opportunities for travel to support special projects or events.

What you'll be doing

  • Remote and local Troubleshooting and Support: Utilize Bomgar, XIO Cloud, Zoom, and Logitech Sync to diagnose and resolve AV issues in our Zoom Rooms. When AV workload permits, provide support to the IT Support team by assisting with ticket resolution.

  • Patch Management and Updates: Ensure all Zoom Room hardware and software components are kept up-to-date with the latest patches and firmware.

  • Proactive Monitoring: Monitor the global AV environment for potential problems, using monitoring tools to identify and address issues before they impact users.

  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of troubleshooting steps, solutions, and system configurations.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the IT Operations team and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless user experience in our Zoom Rooms. This includes remote testing and support for various in office events. Do we want to include assistance with IT tickets here?

What we're looking for

  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of AV technologies (audio, video, networking, control systems) and experience with remote management tools (Bomgar, XIO Cloud, Logitech Sync).

  • Troubleshooting: Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex AV issues remotely.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.

  • Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently and proactively with minimal supervision.

  • Zoom Experience: Familiarity with Zoom Room hardware and software configurations.

You might also have

  • Certifications: CTS (Certified Technology Specialist), Biamp Tesira, Shure and Crestron CTI, Extron or similar certifications are a plus.
