The Technical 3D Asset & Script Specialist will be working on our new worldwide sharing platform preparing:
Art assets from all Ubisoft projects.
Scripts and tools to export, share, and import 3D assets across different game engines.
This is a great opportunity for you to discover different tech art pipelines, various art software and develop your skill set on technical art topics. The main requirements are to have strong technical skills, and to be process oriented and have a strong methodology. It’s also a great opportunity to learn constantly, develop new skills, and co-construct innovative technical solutions, as our team is in collaboration with many Tech Art specialists from different Ubisoft top productions.
Your main mission
Prepare and organize art assets as per the project requirements.
Maintain asset library of multiple file formats and assure assets are of the highest technical quality.
Prepare tools for automation of our overall assets export pipeline.
Prepare automation scripts and tools for project specific requirements.
Prepare a structured pipeline based on individual projects.
Identify roadblocks and find solutions to mitigate them for sharing and standardizing assets.
Collaborate with multiple studios and teams on different asset repositories.
Sort raw data into categories and document them.
Qualifications
The professional value you bring
Proficiency in graphic design 3D or programming.
Basic knowledge of video game development, games engines and their user interface (ex: Unity, Unreal, etc.)
Knowledge of MAX Script.
Knowledge of Java, Python, C# Scripting.
Basic knowledge of PBR Material, Texture, and Shader networks.
Basic knowledge of 3ds Max, Substance Painter, Photoshop.
Familiar with Perforce or other repository maintenance tools.

Good understanding of video games and broad video game culture.

Knowledge of real-time modeling techniques (shaders, PBR, normal map, displacement etc.).
Understanding of UVW unwraps.
Knowledge of vertex information (Model and Shader)
Basic knowledge of MEL Script.
Basic knowledge of ZBrush, SpeedTree, Substance Designer.
Basic knowledge of Maya, Marvelous Designer, Reality Capture.
Basic knowledge of Blender.
