Job Description

We’re looking for a creative, highly skilled Senior Technical Artist to work on our recently released title XDefiant.

As our Senior Technical Artist, you will focus on bridging the gap between art, design and engineering to deliver on our player experience. You will collaborate with studio leaders and directors within a multi-disciplinary team to define workflows that support art and animation assets within our gameplay features. You will also contribute to performance evaluation and optimization throughout the development process.

What you will do:

  • Support creative game content production teams in achieving high visual quality, performance and gameplay.

  • Implementing technical and creative solutions within multidisciplinary teams to modify and refine gameplay experiences, towards realizing a polished feature.

  • Work creatively and technically in both DCC and game engine workflows.

  • Develop technical and creative solutions to solve performance and production issues while executing artistic and game vision.

  • Produce and maintain documentation on tools, methods, processes, and workflows.

  • Identify and develop art and animation pipeline optimizations and tools for new and existing production workflow.

  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and collaborate to solve creative problems.

  • As a senior team player you will be supporting, collaborating, mentoring and motivating other tech artists, growing and supporting each tech artist and the team into greater success.

Qualifications

What you will bring:

  • Experience in Tech Art or Tech Animation processes and workflows for console or PC game development pipelines.

  • Knowledge and experience working with game editors, engines and DCC tool within a senior role.

  • Ability to profile, identify and address art and animation production bottlenecks.

  • Experience developing as a Technical Artist or similar role.

  • Comfortable evaluating game performance and optimizing workflows and solutions.

  • Ability to find creative solutions for technically challenging tasks.

  • Ability to communicate constructively with positivity and respect for others with a proactive and solution-oriented attitude
