Job Description

  • Collaborate with the art & animation teams to understand the overall game vision + rigging and skinning needs.

  • Hands on rigging for character, creature & objects for games

  • Provide rigging solutions to character art and character animation

  • Ensure that Characters deformations are at the right quality level

  • Create and use the tools and run modes to produce the best possible results and incorporate them into the project’s game engine;

  • Test the tools before they are deployed and ensure that they work properly throughout the production process

  • Utilise tools for benchmarking, working & improving the rigging pipeline

  • Ensure that the final result (rigging/skinning) meets the artistic standards of the project;

Qualifications

  • Specific experience of Character/Creature rigging & skinning with strong foundations on rigging in general

  • Strong general experience of in rigging, modelling, animating, or other related experience.

  • Professional knowledge of 3ds Max, Maya and Blender as a plus,

  • Knowledge of scripting in Python is a plus.

  • Knowledge of the limitations of the game engine and production needs

  • Ability to organize, communicate and adapt to meet expected quality standards,
