Job Description

As a Sr Project Coordinator at Ubisoft Barcelona, you will join the team responsible for several gameplay features on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and continue their mission to develop exciting, challenging, and forward-thinking features for an upcoming AAA title.

This role will require you to assist on implement the best processes, methods, and tools to oversee and manage the delivery of the project features assigned to the team in the allocated time, at the required quality, with efficient use of resources available and be able to resolve and manage the situations that hinder the production objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Capacity planning and Realistic Scope Management.

  • Drive project routines like Milestone & Sprint Planning + tracking, reviews, and retrospectives.

  • Clear and regular communication to coordinate efforts within Barcelona team and with the Lead Studio on the project.

  • Set up and facilitate the flow of information (e.g., meetings, mailing lists, Jira tasks, status reports etc.) among the team members and partner studios.

  • Assist coordination with other internal departments (IT, communication, etc.).

  • Take ownership of specific development areas to coordinate and track schedules, identify current and future risks, and troubleshoot communication and possible dependency problems.

  • Establish and maintain a healthy team spirit with open communication, constructive feedback culture, easy and lean processes and realistic goals that motivate team members and fosters development and creation.

  • Actively participate and act as a regular liaison in the decision-making process with the rest of management and the different teams.

  • Assist in managing any conflicts that arise within the team.

  • Support the production team to deal with project related logistics and activities.

Qualifications

  • This role requires a thorough player centric mindset.

  • 5+ years of experience in project management or project coordination in software or game development.

  • You have shipped at least one AAA title either on PC and/or console from start to end on this role.

  • Strong ability to collaborate with multiple international teams, both internal and external.

  • Knowledge of production, difficulties generally encountered by the teams and solutions tailored to their requirements.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and great verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Suite (Excel, Microsoft Project, Power Point)

  • Experience working with game development tools (e.g., bug tracking, agile tools, Jira etc.)

  • Commitment to responsibilities, being organized and proactive.

  • Able to quickly adapt to changing situations and take on new challenges.

  • Up to date knowledge of different game genres, a solid understanding of the market and a passion for video games.
