About the Role
Ubisoft is seeking a full-time Model Artist, based in our Chengdu studio. We are looking for a passionate, detail-oriented and experienced talent.
This person will strive to have an effective workflow to create models of assets and characters with higher quality and efficiency.
What you will do
Participate in the production of high-quality AAA realistic projects, help the team produce the standard quality for assets
Independently and efficiently complete assigned model tasks, participate in outsourcing quality validation, polish outsourcing model and texture to reach the higher quality.
Balancing quality and efficiency of models work to reach the best results within given time frames
Actively seek ways to improve the quality and efficiency of art production and optimize relevant workflows
Working together with team members, leads, external teams and lead studio to push project quality
Qualifications
What you will bring
2+ years game industry production experience, participated in high-quality realistic games (based on physical rendering PBR process), Have experience in animal and equipment related model production
Working knowledge of Zbrush, Autodesk May, Autodesk 3ds max, Adobe Photoshop CC, Substance Painter and/or other modelling, material and texture creation tools
Coordinative, proactive, and initiative mindset is needed
Basic reading and written English are required but oral English is a plus
Have a great understanding of game asset model optimization, deliver high-quality asset models under project technical requirements
