Ubisoft Bordeaux

Founded in 2017, Ubisoft Bordeaux works passionately on the biggest AAA games to deliver the best gaming experiences. Today, the studio boasts over 400 talents from 20 different nationalities, working on licenses such as Assassin's Creed, Beyond Good & Evil 2 and other unannounced projects. At the same time, the studio has set up a Tech branch, which works on all Ubisoft's online services, Online Services, as well as on the Anvil game engine. We have also created an R&D center, La Forge, which brings together engineers and researchers to work together on prototypes for game production, particularly in the field of AI.

Context

The Online Services team develops solutions to continually improve the online experience of players on all our games. It has an international presence, and has been based at the Bordeaux studio for 4 years now. The Online Services Bordeaux team now comprises more than 80 talents who work together to develop innovative projects on themes such as player interaction, the fight against toxicity, and game streaming. Collaboration with Ubisoft games is at the heart of their daily work, and their presence in the studio encourages exchanges with the production teams on site.

Job Description

Your role

This is a multi-faceted position that will allow you to express your technical and human skills: implementation consulting, investigation of complex problems, consulting, training, etc.

You'll be responsible for providing technical support for game productions integrating online services, and you'll be responsible for ensuring that services and infrastructure are used correctly, from implementation through to production.

You will have to propose sustainable, flexible and stable solutions in a constantly changing context, on a wide range of subjects, and in an international, multicultural team.

You will popularize information to answer integration questions clearly and consistently: both through your technical documentation, and in person at meetings with our partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain relations with production teams and be their first point of contact.

  • Analyze technical problems encountered by game developers (ticket management and resolution).

  • Propose robust and sustainable solutions

  • Guide technical teams during product integration (SDK, API, etc.).

  • Train production team members in the use of our products.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation for reference (Confluence).

  • Examine infrastructure problems and make modifications to servers and network equipment.

  • Ensure that technical solutions designed by production teams respect our constraints and best practices.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years' experience in IT, programming, IT support, network infrastructure management, or other relevant experience

  • Good knowledge of microservices environments and APIs (RESTful, Postman)

  • Knowledge of programming languages (C++, C#, JavaScript)

  • Soft Skills

  • A collaborative, creative and innovative approach to solutions

  • Attention to detail, curiosity, resourcefulness and flexibility

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (including popularization)

  • Ability to manage priorities and handle several files in parallel
