Ubisoft Bordeaux

Founded in 2017, Ubisoft Bordeaux works with passion on the biggest AAA titles to deliver the best gaming experiences. Today, the studio is composed of over 400 talents from 20 different nationalities, working on licenses such as Assassin's Creed, Beyond Good & Evil 2 and other unannounced projects. At the same time, the studio has set up a Tech branch which works on all Ubisoft's online services (named Online Services) and on the Anvil game engine. A R&D unit, La Forge, has also been set up, bringing together engineers and researchers to work on prototypes for game production, particularly in the field of AI.

Job Description

Ubisoft Bordeaux is looking for a Level Art Assistant for a 6 months internship, to join the team currently working on an unannounced project.

Reporting to the Lead Artist, you will be responsible for composing and integrating the 3D assets that will make up the game's environments.

As such, your missions are:

  • Scene composition and performance optimization

  • Carrying out specific tasks for a given level, content or location, as well as other tasks related to the world's art, including iterations and bug fixes.

  • Development of player experience in collaboration with Level Designers

Qualifications

  • You've had the opportunity to work on a professional or personal project as a Level or Environment Artist

  • You can easily adapt to new technologies (3DSMax, ZBrush, in-house game engine).

  • You have a good sense of composition and lighting

  • You have excellent interpersonal skills, work well in a team and communicate well

  • You are curious, creative and able to make suggestions.

Additional Information

  • Contract : 6 months internship - starting in April 2024

  • Studio: Role based in Bordeaux - France

  • Remote Work : No - office based position
