Job Description

As a Game Security Programmer (f/m/d) at Ubisoft Düsseldorf your primary objective is to develop and improve new and/or existing security solutions for Ubisoft’s portfolio of multiplayer games and ensure a fair environment for all players. What you will do:

  • Work in a dedicated team of passionate engineers with experienced leadership.

  • Develop game security software to ensure fair environments for Ubisoft's players.

  • Acquire a strong knowledge of existing game security solutions.

  • Collaborate with other teams to stay on top of your challenges.

  • Collaborate with game production teams to ensure the quality of our service.

  • Act as a source of subject matter advice towards the organization.

Qualifications

Experienced software engineers with an interest in security problematics are welcome!

What you bring:

  • Proficient in C/C++, C# and Python, expert in one or more.

  • Experience working with Windows Internals.

  • Experienced in game development, engine development, anti-tampering-, anti-cheat- or anti-malware software.

  • Passionate about software security, anti-cheat, or anti-malware technologies.

  • Very good proficiency in oral and written English.

  • Furthermore, you are a team player who actively collaborates constructively with their colleagues. You take initiative to drive things forward and you are eager to reach the project goals on a joint path to success.

Bonus skills and experience

  • Experience in Windows Driver development is a big plus.

  • Knowledge of common constraints and limitations of multiplayer/online games.

  • Knowledge of common vulnerabilities and exploitation methods of multiplayer/online games.

  • Skills in reverse engineering, decompiling, tracing and debugging.

  • Experience delivering services utilizing Docker Containers & Kubernetes framework.

  • Experience in monitoring the health of SaaS offerings, site reliability engineering.

  • Experience working effectively in a distributed team across time zones.
