Job Description
The Audio Designer will handle all aspects of audio production, from planning and recording to designing assets and implementing them. They will work closely with various teams across departments, in alignment with the vision set by the Audio Director.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Collaborate across multiple teams and studios to help design effective game features and gameplay mechanics from initial concept to final product
Conduct high quality audio recording both in the studio and field recording
Create AAA quality audio design employing expert skills in DAWs and audio plugins
Implement using our Snowdrop Engine utilizing expert skills in audio middleware Wwise
Effectively handle extensive file management and version control tasks utilizing Perforce
Document technical and artistic configurations in the audio design document
Regularly engage in playtests and attend daily meetings actively
Respond to feedback and bug reports swiftly and professionally
Thoroughly test audio systems, including profiling in Wwise and the Engine, to identify and address bugs and optimise performance
Have a mindset for self-improvement, open-mindedness, adaptability, flexibility, and the ability to receive feedback
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications
WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO BRING
A high quality showreel demonstrating expertise in FPS game audio design and implementation
At least 5 years of experience in game audio development and having shipped at least one AAA game
Expertise in Wwise audio middleware
Experience in Unreal, Unity or proprietary Engines
Expertise in a range of DAWs and VSTs
Experience in visual scripting Tools (e.g. Max MSP, Pure Data)
A team player; supporting, collaborating, mentoring
A gamer; passionate about games and game audio
Strong communication and problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset
Desire to learn, grow and take feedback
WHAT IS ADDITIONALLY DESIRABLE
Experience in Perforce
Music composition and remixing in multiple styles
Audio for Cinematics and Trailers
Very good communication and team work skills
Any personal side projects that further demonstrate your passion for audio
Eagerness for self-improvement and knowledge sharing
Having worked with multiple studios across different time-zones
Your own remote isolated recording space
