About the Position
We are looking for a thoughtful and collaborative UX Program Manager to join our UX Operations team to increase proficiency across the organization. UX Program Management works across the entire team, supporting our biggest projects, defining and tracking our goals, and ensuring that every designer and researcher has the support they need to promote creativity and invent customer-focused solutions. If you are excited to join the UX Program Management practice, with an aim at developing end-to-end process, routines, rituals, artifacts, engagement across the Product Organization and beyond, all within an inspiring UX team, with a big impact on our customers' experience we'd love to meet you. Our UX organization is mostly on the west coast but we are distributed throughout the United States and we are open to remote candidates for this position.
You Will
Manage projects and programs for the UX Organization ranging from simple maintenance all the way to
Execute, manage and continuously assess discovery and delivery processes to meet the needs of the program - i.e. ensure the right activities, artifacts and meetings or routines are in place
Stand-up supporting rituals and routines to support elevation of cross-department design projects from discovery to validation into a program of work
Identify solutions for project teams to apply depending on project or program type, i.e. leverage iterative design sprints for rapid ideation or design solutions; where to involve Accessibility reviews, UXR engagement or Design System engagement
Create reporting and supporting rituals via JIRA and other tooling (Lucidchart, Google) to drive and measure daily execution, monthly reporting and progress-to-annual goals for the team to track against - this is both for the individual project teams, cross functional partners (Accessibility, TPM) and for UX leadership
Develop resourcing, capacity planning and run table stakes program management routines like sprint planning, grooming, walking the board, etc.
Be a trusted advisor and strategic partner to Directors of UX Design & Research supporting roadmap planning, helping galvanize and increase engagement across the team
Work closely with and be an advocate for key internal teams such as Accessibility, Design Systems
Be a resource and key collaborator with Product, Engineering and other cross-functional support or control partners; working collectively to identify opportunities to improve the design process and conversely to advocate for the design process across the business
Be able to speak to and advocate for Design and Research process, creating supporting materials as needed
Build relationships with the designers and raise their concerns to design leadership in a detailed and applicable style
You Have
8+ years managing complex projects for a large software business
Proficiency with project management software especially JIRA / Atlassian tools
Deep understanding of complex processes, design and / or research process standards and practices
Helped teams of designers and / or researchers create a process to clarify ambiguous problems
Proficiency in written communication, detailed notes or documentation creator
Comprehension of common design tools such as Figma and Sketch
Commitment to following through and helping others make decisions
Bonus Points
Certification in common program management techniques
Experience as a designer, in service design, in design operations or close alignment with these teams in the past
Understanding of Accessibility / WCAG best practices

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographic market up to our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
