In your role as Licensing Executive, you will support the Director of Licensing with the day-to-day licensing operations process for the Football Manager series including dealing with licensor queries and running approval reports.

This is an exciting, multi-faceted role working on the world-famous Football Manager franchise. An integral part of your role will be co-ordinating the licensing workflows between our licensors, Sports Interactive and other key internal stakeholders to ensure we hit key product dates. You will be accountable for project managing asset collation and approvals with our licensors and distilling all feedback to the relevant teams so that all new licensing-related information is communicated clearly and efficiently between teams whilst making sure that customer brand guidelines are adhered to.

As part of the role, you will also have the opportunity to support the Director of Licensing, as needed, in researching licenses and putting in place some licensing agreements, with scope to become more involved in the negotiations and contractual arrangements.

Why You:

You have considerable experience in licensing or rights management, in a similar role within the creative, entertainment or sports industries. Essentially, you have excellent commercial awareness and are comfortable managing operations processes, contracts and royalties for a range of stakeholders and licensors.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing operational support for all Licensor relationships.

  • Project manage the asset collation process for licensed games to ensure game schedules are adhered to.

  • Leading the approval process for licensed games to ensure they are compliant with contractual obligations and licensor feedback within the required time frames.

  • Coordinating the approval and delivery of any licensed marketing / digital activities for the licensed games.

  • Managing all approval communications between the publishing, development and marketing teams and our licensors and their representatives.

  • Providing support on any licensed packaging approvals.

  • Maintaining and updating any in-house and licensor asset management and approval systems.

  • Liaising with game development teams regarding their Licensor obligations.

  • Providing accurate and clear information and direction in relation to the approvals process to studio(s) and licensors.

  • Maintaining and tracking licensor fees and royalty reports and processing invoices.

  • Provide support on licensing negotiations and contracts and to manage some of these commercial relationships.

  • Deal with licensor queries promptly and efficiently.

  • Providing administration and support as and when required.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Considerable experience in licensing or rights management.

  • Demonstrable experience in supplier management, contractual arrangements and negotiation.

  • Demonstrable knowledge of the licensing life cycle and negotiation process.

  • Working knowledge of all aspects of royalty management, reporting and invoicing.

  • High level of attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Good project management capabilities and able to coordinate multiple workflows simultaneously.

  • Ability to work efficiently and in a team.

  • Excellent communicator.

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise with minimal supervision.

  • Able to handle sensitive information professionally and maintain confidentiality.

  • Critical thinker able to consider improvements and efficiencies to the overall licensing process.
