Scopely is looking for an Associate UI Designer to join our Star Trek Fleet Command Game in Dublin or Barcelona on a hybrid/ remote basis.

Star Trek Fleet Command's ongoing success goes from strength to strength. Our in-house developed 4X MMO was launched in 2018 and continues to evolve, being consistently one of the top 10 gross revenue Massive Multiplayer Strategy games on the market.

What You Will Do

  • Adhere to the UI Style library

  • Work with UX and Senior UI to create mockups based on the spec

  • Sync with UI Tech on implementation

  • Document UI screens, widgets, interactions etc

  • Create in game assets, resources, tokens and iconography

  • Review In-Game UI for style consistency. Log bugs

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong aesthetic skills

  • Good working knowledge knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects)

  • Working knowledge of 2D game art production

  • Basic knowledge of the technical limitations of game art

  • Understanding of a specific art area workflow and pipeline process

  • Must be able to communicate effectively within the team, open to learning and share ideas/ ask questions

  • Passionate for game UI

  • Eager to learn

  • Attention to detail

Bonus Points

  • 1 to 2 years of art and design experience

  • Game / Web Design background an advantage

  • Animation background an advantage

  • Knowledge of relevant game engine experience a plus (Unity)

  • 3D Modeling experience a plus

  • Game creation experience a big plus
