The People Science & Analytics team at Roblox supports our People, Places, & Systems group in all areas of applied statistics, data science for internal operations. Our team works to provide a range of insights and solutions for Roblox, from developing industry-leading hiring assessments, to conducting job analysis and qualitative research, to architecting data analytics systems and tools.

You Will:

  • Partner with the teams within the People, Places, and Systems organization to identify important metrics, trends, and needs.

  • Utilize existing data to perform detailed analyses using SJT forms and data obtained in the assessment process.

  • Contribute to the development of assessment and learning platforms delivered via game-based simulation exercises, engaging with topics such as structured interviewing, survey research, and performance management.

  • Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) throughout the organization in defining, developing, and enhancing programs that identify and develop employee skills.

You Have:

  • Required: PhD candidate (completing program by 2025) or possesses a PhD in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Educational Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Learning Science, or related field.

  • Passion about research design and using data to guide strategy.

  • Experience in understanding testing principles and how quality assessments are developed and validated.

  • Excitement to communicate analytics results and data storytelling to influence teams and leaders.

Duration: 12 weeks

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual hourly rate could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Please note that not all benefits shown below are applicable to internship opportunities.

Hourly Pay Range

$48—$52 USD

Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
