As a leader in Accounting and Equity Administration, you will play a key role in supporting Riot’s Equity programs and other key accounting processes related to our compensation programs. While you don’t need to currently have a background in Equity Administration, your ability and willingness to learn and gain a deep understanding of this area will be crucial. This role will be responsible for Equity Administration and other employee compensation accounting functions and will report to the Senior Manager, Equity and work closely with the Accounting team. This role is key in maintaining, designing and implementing core operation processes for Riot’s global compensation processes. To excel in this role, you’ll need to be a hands-on problem solver, be willing to develop a deep understanding of global equity administration, processes and a keen ability to collaborate cross-functionally. Additionally, you will need the confidence to navigate through ambiguity, be flexible and provide solutions to help us develop the best strategies for our programs and the accounting for them.
Responsibilities:
Help facilitate all aspects of the Company’s equity programs, including processing of new grants, vesting and distributions, as well as the review of equity transactions, terminations, and cancellations;
Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of all equity data in the equity system of record.
Assist the Senior Manager, Equity in ensuring compliance with company policies, relevant accounting guidance, securities laws, domestic and international tax regulations
Generate and maintain reporting of stock-based and other compensation data for financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and IFRS and provide support to external auditors for annual audits
Prepare monthly accrual calculations and reconciliations for compensation related programs (i.e. stock based compensation, sabbatical and bonuses).
Work closely with the cross functional teams to implement and maintain appropriate controls and financial reporting around equity and other employee compensation processes.
Support international offices with their local financial reporting requirements, including preparing calculations and reconciliations, as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
5+ or more years in public accounting at one of the Big 4 firms
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, intellectual curiosity, as well as strong problem-solving
Proficiency in managing and overseeing tasks with meticulous attention to detail, coupled with the capacity to evaluate broader contexts at a strategic level.
Comfort in diving deeply into details to identify issues while connecting them back to the core problem to improve on existing processes.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with equity compensation, stock-based compensation accounting or equity administration is a plus.

(Los Angeles Only) Base salary range between $142,700.00 - $198,500.00 USD + incentive compensation + equity + 401K with company match + medical, dental, vision, and life insurance + short and long-term disability + open PTO.
