The Experience Design (XD) team on Apex Legends covers all aspects of UX Design, UI Art, and UI Tech Design (Scripting). As a Producer for the XD team, you schedule and manage the work of these three groups holistically across almost all game features, aligning with game and seasonal priorities, and partnering with both Feature Producers/Leads and internal XD Leads to plan, monitor, and execute.

You are a road mapping and scheduling pro, with an eagle eye for detail and the ability to catch/retain key information quickly. You can context-switch while maintaining a strong sense of priority, and this keeps you focused and calm during times of change. You are a helpful production partner who values and facilitates clear communication, fosters relationships with key stakeholders across the team, can find and address risks, and have a masterful understanding of dependency chains. You care about the people - your team - and balance their needs against the needs of feature teams, and the game direction at large. In this role you will partner with our Production, Feature Development, Quality Verification, and Product Management teams to deliver excellent outcomes.

What you'll do...

  • Guide XD development for multiple concurrent features from all Apex teams/pods each season.

  • Partner with XD Leads to understand the team’s challenges and identify impediments to success, and ensure development is on track, to quality, and aligned with goals.

  • Manage the team's roadmap (long-term scheduling and scope/cap) and sprint tasking.

  • Focus on development processes, identifying inefficiencies and introducing development process improvements.

  • Be a conduit of communication, bring clarity between departments, and provide support to the team in multiple capacities.

  • Maintain daily priorities that align with overall game/feature vision.

  • Work with the Production team and XD Leads, identifying and informing the team of any issues or needs.

  • Look at long-term strategies for any potential roadblocks and address them.

  • Be a force to keep moving things forward, providing a strong sense of direction to the team.

  • Partner with other Producers to support overall efforts of the department and help define and encourage production best practices.

Ideally you will have...

  • 4+ years of experience as a Producer on AAA game/s through the full development cycle, from concept to ship.

  • Experience with the highly-iterative nature of GaaS, live tuning, and frequent title updates.

  • Expertise in building, maintaining and meeting a schedule that considers cross-functional dependencies.

  • Empathy for fixing the problems of others, respect for others' time.

  • Strong relationship-building/people skills.

  • An understanding of game development methodologies.

  • Experience working with waterfall and Agile planning methods.

  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.

  • Intense passion for helping people and teams achieve their goals.

If this opportunity sounds like a great fit for you, please submit your resume and we will get back to you once we have reviewed it.
