Phoenix Labs is looking for a talented Senior Build Engineer, to manage & continuously improve our build pipeline supporting two live multi-platform games; Fae Farm & Dauntless. The successful candidate must have experience with at least one continuous integration system (GitHub, Jenkins, Teamcity, Bamboo, Circle, etc) and have demonstrated experience with Python. We are looking for a seasoned Engineer who is excited by solving challenging problems in collaboration with the development teams, to deliver the best developer experience possible.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, prototype, implement, and polish internal systems and workflow tools using Python.

  • Champion automation to solve build and testing problems.

  • Identify and anticipate problems across various tools, areas, and systems, and propose and execute solutions.

  • Respond to issues as they arise.

  • Analyze and mitigate risk in the development schedule.

  • Consult with other engineers on the team to change, adapt or refactor systems as required.

Required:

  • 7+ years of software experience in the Games industry.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.

  • Highly proficient in Python.

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.

  • Self-starter and highly motivated.

  • Strong debugging, optimization, and multitasking skills.

  • Ability to communicate in a cross-development team environment within a distributed environment.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with UE5 and blueprint.

  • Familiarity with Jenkins, GCP & AWS is a plus.

  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools like Chef or Ansible.

  • Experience with virtual machine and container provisioning tools.

  • Experience servicing a live product.

  • Proficiency in C# and/or C++.

Pay Transparency

Phoenix Labs believes in pay equity and we welcome conversations with candidates on how their salary expectations align with our established ranges. As you progress through the interview process, it may be determined that your experience might align better with a higher/lower level of position than you originally applied for and, should that happen, we will discuss the new pay range with you before moving forward with additional interviews or an offer.

Phoenix Labs covers the cost of basic medical for employees and their dependents, in addition to offering generous Dental and Paramedical Services. For 2023, we match employees' contributions to their RRSP up to 5% of their salaries. We provide employees with a flexible vacation plan, all the Provincial Statutory holidays, and unlimited sick time.

Canada Pay Range

$140,000—$220,000 CAD
