  • Assuming responsibility for VAT and other indirect tax compliance matters for several European countries (advance VAT return, annual returns, INTRASTAT and ZM reports, registrations, etc)

  • Independently coordinating and processing national and international indirect tax inquiries in cooperation with external tax consultants

  • Advising on the adaptation of business processes and the implementation in IT applications in compliance with VAT requirements

  • Monitoring changes in VAT law and the impact on business processes

  • Providing support during tax audits (in Germany and other European countries) and with discussions with tax advisors on international tax topics

  • Supporting global tax projects


  • First professional experience in indirect taxes, preferably in an international group or a consulting firm

  • Academic qualification in Taxation or equivalent qualification in Finance or Business Administration (Certified tax advisor not required)

  • Teamwork-oriented with the ability to work independently

  • High level of commitment and good communication skills

  • Fluent written and spoken English skills

  • Good working knowledge in MS Office, especially Excel, SAP experience would be a plus
