DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
Convert manual tests in various domain areas to CI automated tests
Use automation frameworks both API and UI based in automation effort.
Develop, maintain, and improve tests for Nintendo's systems
Work with DevOps on any CI automatic test issues
This is a development role with automated test creation and infrastructure
Debugs code effectively within primary area
Responsible for triage of emerging bug reports, feature requests, and support inquiries
Implements functional requirements, use-case scenarios, design goals, and architecture for assigned development tasks
Defines the use-case scenarios, architecture, design goals, and functional requirements in a collaborative way with other members of the team
Create Test Plans to determine strategy, test coverage, and required tooling to ensure high product quality
Designs, implements, and executes Automation Frameworks, Tools, and Tests for complex systems
Develops automation systems using and targeting various technology domains with respect to hardware and software modules
Drives finding root cause and resolution of defects
Implements established development workflow and systems and provides feedback
Establish the test workflow and implement it with DevOps’ assistance
Performs test passes as necessary to meet deadlines
Manages a potentially large and complex set of product vectors for testing
Scopes and defines test specifications
Manages manual test cases and oversee/perform their execution for a module
Responsible for generating reports on test runs and reporting to team leadership
Performs post-mortems for product releases
Resolves dependency issues blocking team productivity
Identifies areas to improve throughput by automating manual test processes
Implement build and test jobs requested by developers and testers
Effectively and proactively documents work
Produces documentation used in manufacturing with a high degree of precision to avoid costly mistakes in manufactured goods
Collaborates with peer groups and other teams across Nintendo
May assist with on-boarding new hires and/or participating in the hiring process
Up to 10% travel; domestic and international
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS
3+ years related experience
Knowledge of large-scale software development techniques
Knowledge of embedded software/hardware design, application software design or emerging technologies
Knowledge of application software design and emerging technologies
Knowledge of system software design and emerging technologies
Knowledge of software testing methodologies
Knowledge of real-time interactive platform technologies and industry-related trends
Valid passport may be required
Developer knowledge of various computer domains: graphics, audio, networking
3+ years of experience working with C/C++
3+ years of experience working with Python or C#
Knowledge of software testing methodologies and software quality assurance processes
Experience with git version control system
Building and running software in both Windows and Linux environments
BS in engineering or related field
This position is onsite in Redmond, WA, and not open to remote status at this time.
This position includes a base salary range of $115,152 - $172,728 annually, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
