Do you want to join our New Games Studio in to support the ongoing development of an exciting Midcore title?

We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated, collaboration-orientated, 3D level designer to lead development of a flagship midcore title. As level designer, you will have ownership, responsibility and accountability for the design, implementation, user testing and delivery of the game’s levels, pipelines and tooling as well as helping build and develop a team of level designers.

Your role within the Kingdom

  • Build and maintain multiple game maps and modes.

  • Lead a team of level designers, under deadlines and time constraints

  • Maintain an high level design quality, while respecting technical limitations and performance targets

  • Help to craft environment theme and tone alongside the Art Director

  • Partner with the art team to populate the level with props and furnishings

  • Assist in the organization of internal and external user testing sessions.

  • Engage with the internal QA department to develop testing plans that ensure quality and reliability in a networked environment

  • Collect, analyse and apply data and user feedback as part of the iterative process of improvement to your level designs

  • Build task breakdowns to assist with scheduling

  • Help to establish level design standard methodology guidelines

  • Track and report key issues and risks to production and project management departments

  • Develop pipelines and processes to allow efficient and effective delivery of game environments, both for launch and as the game grows as a service

Skills to create thrills

  • Confirmed 3D Level design experience and paper design (layout) skills

  • Confidence and experience to self-manage and self-motivate

  • Experience working on mobile as a gaming platform and F2P games is a plus

  • Experience grey-boxing and fast-iterating levels based on user feedback

  • Stay up to date with industry techniques, standards and workflows; aware of current & upcoming game titles & technology
