GosuGamers is looking for a Content & Marketing Executive who is an esports and gaming enthusiast in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Valorant, in charge of content and community. We are looking for a driven and all-rounder talent who is hungry to be the best in their field. Our ideal candidate has experience developing and executing social media content campaigns.

They will act as the brand & social media custodian and manage the various channels effectively and efficiently. You will be working closely together with the editorial content, design, and video departments, to deliver high-quality engaging esports content to the community. You will be the bridge between the community and the teams, tournament organizers, KOLs, and game publishers.

We expect you to be up-to-date with digital technologies, social media, esports & gaming trends. Ultimately, you should be able to handle our social media presence ensuring high levels of traffic and audience engagement.

The role entails day-to-day marketing activities and campaign implementation. You are expected to thrive with tight deadlines and adapt to changing needs.

About You

  • You love interacting with your audience (fans/followers/subscribers)
  • Social media & content creation is your natural habitat: you know how platforms such as Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, and TikTok, the cultures of these online spaces, and the trends that emerge there (including memes!)
  • Passionate about either MLBB OR Valorant, its pro scene, KOLs, and the community!
  • Good to have: Insider network & direct connections with players, teams, and talents
  • In-tune with latest gaming trends, breaking news, competitive scene in esports
  • You spend time following and consuming various esports content such as watching the competitive gameplays, pro-player streams, content creators’ streams, etc
  • Love to create visual content such as memes, GIFs, create fun & engaging content (videos) for the community
  • Motivation for what you do: Views, Followers/Subscribers, Likes, interactions, retweets fuel you, and each follower you gain, no matter how small, excites you to push forward
  • Time Management: The ability to plan, monitor, and execute according to timeline
  • Market knowledge: You are a gamer by night and spend hours during the day working or learning about the esports scene
  • Energy level: Talking to you on any platform fuels people’s interest and motivation for the title. Bubbly yet on point
  • Professionalism: You uphold yourself to the highest standard when it comes to producing content, taking pride in your work
  • Strong command of writing and speaking in English

Duties & Accountabilities

  • Develop, ideate, and implement media content strategies to maintain strong social media presence that elevates GosuGamers’ branding through Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube etc
  • Conceptualise and curate viral and engaging esports & gaming social media content for the community that users enjoy sharing, including videos, images, infographics, memes etc
  • Build a GosuGamers persona on social media in the MLBB/Valorant community (Be the voice behind GosuGamers)
  • Plan, manage and create story-telling content to grow social media platforms
  • Well-connected to the esports scene with direct contacts and network with teams, players, KOLs, talents etc.
  • Create engaging copies while ensuring brand consistency through tone, voice, and terminology
  • Upkeep a social media calendar for the game title and publish posts timely and accurately
  • Coordinate & liaise with cross-function teams, pro-teams, players, KOLs, photographers, videographers, vendors, and other external communication partners to create content
  • Liaise with the editorial team, designers and video editors in curating social media content
  • Responsible for requesting proper graphic and video brief to Design and Video team
  • Constantly track, evaluate, and analyze current content strategy to identify areas for improvement
  • Actively interact and engage with our online community across all social media platforms like Facebook, X, TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube
  • Act as the brand guardian and oversee brand integrity ensuring that all creative communications meet brand guidelines
  • Track and monitor content performance through insights and analytics
  • Conduct monthly competitor and market analysis, consumer trends, and best marketing practices in the local market
  • Create post-campaign reports to evaluate campaign performance
  • Gather, analyze, interpret, and present important data for social media reporting
  • Prepare weekly meeting updates, update and keep track of social media statistics
  • Keep up to date with current esports news, social media trends, and opportunities
  • Performs other day-to-day duties as assigned by Senior Content & Marketing Manager and/or the team

Requirements

  • Experience in a related field: Minimum 2 years and above
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, mass communications, business, or related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English and a plus for Chinese, Tagalog, Spanish, Bahasa, Bahasa Melayu or any other secondary languages
  • Passionate about esports & gaming - actively follow competitive esports events, personalities, and communities
  • Up-to-date with social media trends, esports and gaming news within the industry
  • Strong knowledge of the different social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube)
  • Proven record of managing and engaging with communities
  • Able to meet tight deadlines and flexible to adapt to changes
  • Attention to details and meticulous
  • Proven experience developing marketing plans and campaigns
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong organisational skills, project management, multitasking and is detail-oriented
  • Metrics-driven marketing individual with an eye for creativity
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or Canva and Google workspace, preparation of reports & PowerPoint presentations
