Hello, we’re Glowmade! We’re an exciting independent company and the goal of our games is to unlock people’s imagination and help them express themselves in wonderful, fun ways. Right now we’re busy building a new multiplayer co-operative game with an ambitious creative wrapper around it. We can’t say too much, but if you can imagine Jim Henson’s Labyrinth mashed up with Wrestlemania, then you’ll be on the right track!

This is an opportunity to work closely with the QA and development team to push the level of polish and stability the team can achieve.

This role is onsite and we are not able to offer relocation support, due to this role being a 6 month contract.

From day one we would like you to:

  • Get stuck in, learning both how the game works, and how it fits together with our creation tools.

  • Find, record and track issues.

  • Give us actionable feedback not only on the software but also on our process.

  • Focus in particular on the multiplayer and network portions of the game, digging into where this is failing and how it can be improved.

In six months you will be:

  • Implementing QA process in all areas of the project; From multiplatform ports, Engine and Editor testing to Automation, you will have the chance to define how QA begins to roll out technical testing to all areas of our project.

  • Working hand in hand with our engineers to focus and improve our features

  • Guiding external QA organisations supporting your work.

  • A central, supportive member of our small team.

The ideal candidate would:

  • Be enthusiastic and looking to kickstart their career within the gaming industry!

A few more bits:

This is an opportunity for you to make a significant contribution not only to the game but to our team and the company. Everyone at Glowmade has a voice, and it’s important to us that you feel empowered and are given the time and space to use it!

We’re based in Guildford, UK and the ideal candidate will be working onsite in our studio. We offer competitive wages and we are an actively equal opportunities employer. If all of the above sounds exciting and you think you can fill this pivotal role, please get in touch. No agencies please!
