Job Description

As a Senior Tools Programmer, you'll collaborate closely with our development and engineering teams to ensure our tools are efficient and effective in creating cutting-edge games. From optimising and enhancing game engine tools to maintaining continuous integration systems, you'll play a pivotal role in streamlining our development process and empowering our teams to do their best work.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the game development team to understand their needs and develop efficient tools that streamline the development process.

  • Optimise and enhance game engine tools in collaboration with the engineering team, tackling technical challenges and improving workflow.

  • Develop and maintain continuous integration system configurations.

  • Keep existing tools up-to-date in accordance with the latest changes in the development pipeline and the needs of the team.

  • Expand and improve engine tools to increase workflow efficiency, continuously iterating on existing features and integrating new functionalities.

  • Document and communicate tool features, updates, and best practices to the development team.

  • Provide continuous support to team members throughout all stages of development.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in C++ and game engines, preferably Unreal Engine.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to optimise tools and workflows.

  • Experience in software development with a focus on gaming industry practices.

  • Familiarity with continuous integration systems and build configurations.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work closely with development and engineering teams.

  • Passion for gaming and technology, with a desire to stay updated on industry trends and advancements.
