Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Level Designer to join the level-design team and take charge of creating captivating adventures that showcase the many iconic characters from the enchanting world of Disney. As a member of our team, you will play a central role in achieving the immersive experience we wish to offer our players. Main Tasks

  • Working closely with the Creative Director and the Level-Design Team Lead to design and develop exceptional game environments that capture the magic and essence of the world of Disney

  • Using your expertise to create engaging game storylines, stimulating missions, and original challenges that highlight the distinctive features of the Disney characters and encourage player interaction

  • Collaborating with your team members by sharing your knowledge and expertise to foster mutual aid and communication

  • Managing your task priorities while working in a live-game environment that involves frequent updates

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years' professional experience in level design

  • Experience designing quests or missions

  • Excellent knowledge of the game market and the world of Disney

  • Good communicator, both verbal and written, and good listener

  • At least one title published on console/PC while in a level-design role

  • Diploma of college studies in one of the following: computer science, multimedia, graphic design, video games, or equivalent

  • English-French bilingualism is an asset

  • Considerable experience with multimedia software (Office, Adobe, Atlassian)

Skills and Profile

  • Able to work in Agile mode, not afraid of failure, and able to bounce back quickly, if necessary

  • Able to make decisions in a complex environment

  • Empathetic

  • Able to take on a leadership role while maintaining an operational role on the project

  • Passion for video games and their history

  • Ability to present one's ideas (verbally and in writing)

  • Open-minded, with a love of teamwork

  • A big imagination!
