Job Description
As Lead Artist with Gameloft, you will oversee a group of artists that create visually attractive and well-coordinated art assets for our cross-platform games. Working together with cross-functional teams, you will be essential in making sure our games meet the highest requirements for visual appeal and contributing to the success of our games.
Mentor and guide team members, encouraging their professional growth and skill development.
Work closely with the Art Director to interpret and execute the artistic vision for our games.
Ensure consistency in visual styles across all art assets, maintaining the high-quality standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish project timelines and deliverables, ensuring alignment with the fast-paced nature of games development.
Effectively manage and prioritise art tasks, ensuring timely delivery within project deadlines.
Conduct regular reviews of art assets to maintain high-quality standards and adherence to project specifications.
Provide constructive feedback to artists to enhance the overall quality of work.
Foster clear communication channels between artists and other departments to ensure a cohesive artistic vision.
Present and articulate artistic concepts effectively to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
Degree qualified or equivalent experience.
10+ years of experience in a similar role within the gaming industry.
Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Unreal Engine, Adobe Creative Suite, Autodesk Maya, Blender, Zbrush, Substance Painter or equivalent.
Strong leadership and team management skills, particularly in a fast-paced game development environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
A strong portfolio showcasing game art and a variety of artistic styles and techniques.
Proven experience in developing and shipping successful game projects.
