Job Description

We are seeking a senior game designer who specializes in user experience for our new Dungeons & Dragons® PC/Console project. This innovative game will blend the features of Action-RPG / Survival with unique elements of life-simulation games to redefine the genre and capture the imaginations of players worldwide.

In this role, you'll be responsible for designing several features and the game's menus, as well as for their consistency and usability.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Maintaining consistency and establishing the project's UX standards, all while overseeing the work of game designers

  • Establishing the best possible user flow for each game feature

  • Creating wireflows, prototypes, diagrams, and other visual aids to convey the user experience

  • Working with UI artists to ensure menus are properly implemented

  • Being responsible for the feature development cycle, from planning to delivery

  • Providing clear specifications and reference material to guide the implementation of features

  • Collaborating with the user research department to help with usability tests and apply the feedback received

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years' professional experience in game design or UX

  • Good communicator, both verbal and written, and good listener

  • At least one title published on console/PC while in a game design role

  • English-French bilingualism is an asset

  • Considerable experience with multimedia software (Office, Adobe, Atlassian)

  • Able to work in Agile mode, not afraid of failure, and able to bounce back quickly, if necessary

  • In-depth knowledge of the PC/console market and survival crafting games

  • Knowledge of Dungeons & Dragons and Forgotten Realms

  • Able to make decisions in a complex environment

  • Open-minded and empathetic

  • A big imagination!
