Full Circle is a new studio based in Vancouver, with team members around the globe, embracing a remote-working, geo-diverse team and culture. Working on the next evolution of Skate, we are set to provide an experience to embrace and build upon everything that makes this franchise so special.

We are looking for a Software Engineering Co-op to join our Skate team. This is an opportunity to join us in the early stages of development. We are looking for a candidate with passion for games to join a veteran team of game developers who are excited to share their experience and knowledge building AAA games.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Report directly to a Software Engineering lead

  • Collaborate with content creators and software engineers to help improve team workflows

  • Author, iterate and maintain core tools and libraries

  • Write systems capable of scale.

Technical Qualifications

  • Working towards a B.Sc. in Computer Science or related field

  • Strong working knowledge of C++

  • Experience in object-oriented design and implementation

  • Demonstrated knowledge of good software engineering practices

  • Knowledge of memory management, multiple processor use, and runtime optimization

  • Knowledge of how to use a debugger to solve complex problems

  • Experience with another programming language(s) (C# or Java) and platforms (tablets, game console) is a major plus

  • Knowledge of source code management: Perforce is a plus

  • Ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative team environment.

  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts, principles and solutions

BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location. EA has listed the hourly pay ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, degree type (e.g. Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD), what stage you are in your degree journey (i.e. freshman, sophomore, etc.), qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

HOURLY PAY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria): º $31 - $34

The hourly pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including 80 hours per year of sick time (prorated based on scheduled hours per week if less than full-time), 16 paid company holidays per year, medical insurance, and 401(k).
