We’re looking for an experienced F2P Game Data Analyst to join us on our next launch. We’re always looking for new insights that result in tangible impacts; impacts on our players, our marketing efforts and on our game strategy.
The data analyst will work with the game and marketing teams to make informed decisions with actionable insights. Through a strong understanding of KPI’s, monetization and marketing you’ll ensure that data driven insights help inform every decision we make and continually improve the games performance. We’re particularly interested in speaking to candidates who are expert in Steamworks and all Steam related data points and analyses to feed back into game design, monetization and marketing.
Responsibilities include:
Owning & championing our analytics efforts
Proactively coming up with actionable analyses across game design, monetization and marketing
Work closely with the team to help shape the analytics agenda, identify key questions that data can help solve and contribute to the conversation around roadmap, acquisition and retention
Help set up and maintain of infrastructure and tooling
Requirements
A passion for game and always striving to improve player performance
Previous experience in Data Analyst roles on F2P PC games
Experience in curating data analysis and science workflows, applying statistics, understanding biases
Fluent in manipulating data with complex SQL queries
Experience with data dashboarding tools such as DataStudio / Looker
Ability to work with new / unstructured data (e.g. new titles)
Experience in defining and scoping the data to collect from a game
Assess the impact of new features, conduct A/B tests and support CRM strategies
Analyse player behaviour metrics such as churn, conversion rates and LTV
Collaborate with marketing to refine campaigns and enhance user re-engagement
Bonus points if you’ve been a data analyst using Steam data
Qualifications:
Proven background in analytics or a related field
Strong numerical proficiency with a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving
Expertise in Excel & SQL, with a bonus for experience in Python, R or statistical modelling tools.
