What We Do

Create and maintain a proactive and stable IT environment as well as provide IT support to our Epic people. You will be empowered to shape processes that deliver optimized IT service across our business. Work with emerging technologies while enabling IT success for everyone.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Tech Services Software Engineering Team, you will help empower the business with reliable and innovative custom software solutions. This role will own the technical direction and optimize customer satisfaction for a collection of internally developed products in addition to architecting and delivering new software solutions with broad impact across the IT and Product organizations. You will work closely with the team of Software Engineers, Test Automation Engineers, and DevOps Engineers to improve the productivity of Technology Services and Epic as a whole.

In this role, you will

  • Oversee the technical direction for multiple products while maximizing customer satisfaction

  • Be a technical owner for net new products starting from the ground up including:

    • Gathering requirements from stakeholders and generating KPIs that will be used to measure the impact of the team’s work

    • Build product roadmaps and technical documentation that incorporates customer requirements into phased deliverables

    • Architect cloud-native systems using modern infrastructure standards

    • Author, review, and maintain top-tier code

  • Collaborate closely with a team of engineers as well as peer teams to deliver impactful solutions on time

  • Mentor and develop existing team members as well as colleagues with budding engineering skills across the organization

  • Interface with customers to understand their needs and continue to support products throughout their lifecycle

  • Be an advocate for development best-practices across the organization

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of:

    • Developing high-impact software solutions in a competitive environment

    • Experience working with full-stack web technologies and Python

    • Experience architecting cloud-native solutions with AWS best practices and modern infrastructure (microservices, kubernetes, ECS, Lambda, IaC)

  • Strong track record of interfacing with customers and stakeholders to define requirements, propose solutions, and support your products post-launch

  • Excellent communication and time management skills

  • Passion for mentoring others and developing more junior engineers

Pay Transparency Information

The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren’t limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic’s generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).

Washington Base Pay Range

$198,824—$291,608 USD
