QUALITY ASSURANCE

What We Do

The Quality Assurance team owns the testing process, risk management, and quality evaluation of all products and functions across Epic. Our team works closely with developers and production to ensure the best possible user experience for our community and customers.

What You'll Do

We’re looking for a QA Specialist within the Distribution team to help us make the future of our products strong! You will work to develop and implement test plans, execute testing, and utilize tooling to expand the breadth and depth of our QA coverage in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a QA Specialist, you will also help to shape the team's efforts around testing approach, execution, and risk assessment with opportunities to mentor existing QA team members who are keen to expand their skills.

In this role, you will

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including QA Engineers, QA leadership, SDETs, product owners, and developers to define acceptance criteria, identify risks, plan test coverage, execute test plans, and ensure the highest quality of the Epic Games Launcher and its associated products across multiple platforms and features in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • Build, drive, and execute comprehensive test strategies and plans, utilizing a mix of technical and manual QA skills, testing techniques, and tools to thoroughly examine the quality of the products, troubleshoot defects, and ensure coverage of new features and integrations.

  • Analyze and report on data quality, product quality, and development health, using the data to drive conversations and support the development team before, during, and after deployments.

  • Collaborate effectively with geographically distributed teams to identify and address gaps in test plans and approaches, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and delivering high-quality products.

What we're looking for

  • 4+ years of professional QA experience in software or game testing environments, with proven expertise in end-to-end test planning, execution, and supporting live products/release flows for native installable clients and multi-faceted products

  • Extensive hands-on experience testing software beyond the presentation layer, debugging interactions between different application layers and services, and professional mobile testing experience

  • Proven ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams, collaborating closely with stakeholders including production, design, and development teams, with strong communication skills to confidently engage immediate and partner teams

  • Demonstrated experience working within geographically dispersed teams, supporting release processes/flows, website testing, and an interest in mentoring other employees

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a thorough understanding of end-to-end release flows for live products. Game testing/gaming industry experience is a strongly preferred qualification
