As a Software Engineer II, you will report to Sr. Engineering Manager. You will design and implement our modern Commerce and Identity system, while playing an important role in driving platform development. You’ll work as part of a team, engaged with different EADP service teams and game teams around the globe to provide outstanding innovation and performance for our upcoming top games.

Responsibilities

  • You will work with program managers to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs.

  • You will participate in technical design and implementation of features for large-scale distributed back-end services creating new features and updating existing capabilities.

  • You will design underlying database schema, interface, and plan for capacity.

  • You will implement high-quality code with comprehensive unit testing.

  • You will fix bugs and troubleshoot issues and resolve customer issues.

  • You will evaluate and adopt technologies which improve the team efficiency and platform capabilities.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience developing software.

  • 1+ years experience working on online services at Internet consumer scale

  • Proficient in at least one programming language, such as Java, C#, or C++.

  • Foundation in computer science, encompassing Algorithms, Data Structures, Operating Systems, and Databases.

  • Experience communicating updates and resolutions to customers and other partners.

US COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento): º $122,300 - $170,600 USD Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
