The Challenge Ahead:

As a Senior Technical Product Manager in EA’s Digital Platform (EADP) team, you will report to the Senior Director of Product Management. You will lead complex products within the Social portfolio, including: matchmaking, game and session management, end of game reports, networking and related client SDKs, rebroadcaster servers and more.

This role requires close collaboration with the engineering teams that develop the products in addition to developing and maintaining great relationships with stakeholders. You'll work with game teams to understand their needs and ensure EADP’s Social products evolve to meet those needs. Communication to both internal and external stakeholders is a key responsibility, as well as setting requirements for new features and systems.

Responsibilities:

  • You will learn and understand stakeholder/game team developer needs, processes and schedules.

  • You will create new features through discovery work done directly with game and other stakeholder teams.

  • You will work internally with development teams to ensure understanding of new features and for input to shape requirements for new features.

  • You will work with internal stakeholders to ensure solutions adhere to platform strategy and are complementary to and potentially integrated with other parts of the central technology platform.

  • You will develop, maintain, and communicate product strategy for Multiplayer technology.

  • You will manage and communicate roadmap and plans internally and externally for your product space, including backlog management activities.

Qualifications:

  • Experience building 1-2 products that involved large scale platforms or ecosystems.

  • 2+ years working with developer-facing products (e.g., developer tools, consoles, SDKs) in a product role.

  • Product ownership or product management experience, preferably in the gaming industry.

  • Previous experience with cloud based distributed systems.

  • Experience managing many and conflicting stakeholder needs.

  • Knowledge of platform development and interoperability across related capabilities.

BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location. EA has listed the base salary ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria): º $114,050 - $185,250 CAN

Annually Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
