EA Create is looking for a Senior Development Director to lead our Asia Pacific (APAC) teams. The Senior Development Director will partner with Studio Art Director and the Director of Technical Art to promote the vision and operational strategy of the Create APAC team. You will report to the EA Create Director of Operations and Strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Operations and Strategy for EA Create APAC. You will directly manage Development Directors and Craft Managers.

  • Build resource scalability strategy including long range planning for internal development and outsourcing strategy in partnership with Create Operations team.

  • Partner with Create leadership to constantly improve Create APAC organizational structure, processes and best practices.

  • Oversee team development strategies across the department including training, mentoring, performance feedback, career growth and team health.

  • Guide talent planning and manage staff career development to help the team perform at its highest potential.

  • Support our team's ability to produce high-quality and scalable content for AAA projects.

  • Foster excellent relationships and communications with partner teams.

  • Develop solutions to production challenges and long-term growth strategy in partnership with Studio Art Director & Director of Technical Art.

  • Manage overall project reporting, risk management, issue resolution and capacity balancing across titles and departments.

  • Manage financial aspects of the department including: operational expenses, forecasting, chargeback reconciliation and year over year budgeting in partnership with EA Finance.

  • Promote a respectful workplace with inclusion, equity and diversity as team culture pillars.

  • Travel will be required (approximately once per quarter).

Qualifications

  • You have 8+ years of leadership and operations experience.

  • You have managed and scaled large teams in a creative or tech-based industry.

  • You have experience creating trusted partnerships with diverse contributors.

  • You have demonstrated problem solving skills in creative environments.

  • You have experience building engaged teams that exceeded goals.

  • You mentor team members on managing projects from concept phase to final delivery.

  • You have in-depth knowledge of project operations acquired from 5+ years experience in project management on AAA game franchises or similar software development projects.

  • You've worked on complex problems where analysis of situations requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors and sensitivity to development timelines.

  • Excellent written and verbal skills - fluency in English is required. Knowledge of Mandarin is a valuable asset.
