As a Capture Artist, you will be responsible for capturing footage that will be used in marketing and promotional content for advertising and social media. A Capture Artist is an expert in the game as well as the tools used to capture and save gameplay moments and screenshots. They have expertise and extensive knowledge of both the franchise and the culture of EA Sports FC (EASFC) and soccer, and an understanding of cinematic camera language. They work directly with production, creative and development teams to ensure assets will be ready for capture in time for production needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with development to identify features and animations that need to be showcased in the marketing and social assets

  • Lead department (gameplay/visuals)

  • Capture gameplay clips from game for use in Marketing and on Social Media

  • Problem solve to achieve the best results while working within the confines of unfinished technology

  • Communicate any issues with leads to determine the best way to adjust capture to achieve the visual goal for the asset

  • Archive, organize, log, and manage assets

  • Onboard new hires

  • Manage and drive medium to large projects

  • Coordinate capture across multiple capture artists and projects

  • Communicate daily with franchise supervisors, vendor leads, and production partners on project status and needs

  • Coordinate submission of assets to partners for internal and external approvals

Requirements:

  • Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and features

  • Experienced gamer with a specialty in FIFA / EASFC

  • Proficient knowledge of both the EASFC franchise and culture of soccer

  • Proficient knowledge of cinematic and camera language

  • The ability to focus on multiple projects and tasks in group settings under high-pressure

  • Solutions based self-starter with a strong work ethic, able to meet responsibilities without constant supervision

  • Technically inclined and a strong troubleshooter able to solve problems within the team

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Detail-oriented with strong observational skills

  • Proficient in PC use and current generation video game consoles

  • Flexible and team-oriented, with good interpersonal and follow-up skills

BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location. EA has listed the base salary ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria): º $63,350 - $98,800 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
