ROLE OVERVIEW:

Our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team provides strategic and financial partnership to EA's Leadership team.

You will lead business support for Playdemic Studio; developers of market leading Golf Clash, a real time multiplayer mobile golf game, as a collaborative & trusted advisor to leadership, driving reporting and rhythm of the business. This role requires an experienced partner to help drive continued growth in this high priority strategic franchise. Knowledge of the gaming industry, especially free to play business models, advertising and user acquisition are a significant advantage.

You will report to the Director of FP&A – Mobile Sports & Racing.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide financial guidance and strategic partnership to the Playdemic leadership team

  • Lead the studio financial planning process, including the long-range, annual, and quarterly planning cycles

  • Drive revenue forecasting in collaboration with studio, data analytics and user acquisition teams

  • Drive insightful analysis to highlight variance drivers and identify opportunities to mitigate risk and improve performance

  • Manage the studio P&L to maximize the health of the business, including budget spend tracking, headcount forecasting and tracking, purchase order and invoice tracking and monthly close activities

  • Create P&L modeling and evaluate opportunities in support of new business initiatives or new product incubation

  • Provide strategic advice and financial rigor, ensuring the implications of business decisions are understood & aligned with profitability goals

  • Prepare and hold business reviews for EA’s leadership team with clear and actionable presentation materials

  • Identify and lead initiatives to continuously improve, standardize and automate forecasting and reporting tools and processes

Experience / Capabilities:

  • Experience evaluating performance metrics and implementing action plans

  • Healthy impatience for change. Willingness to ask the tough questions and ensure partner agreement

  • Demonstrates initiative, flexibility, maturity under pressure & anticipates and resolves problems proactively

  • Ability to resolve complex business issues

  • Communicate to executive audiences in person, written, and through clear presentations.

  • A team player able to work collaboratively, within the group and cross-functionally

  • Preference for experience in game development, mobile entertainment, or digital businesses

Team Related:

  • Collaborate with your studio partners and FP&A team

  • Work closely with our FP&A partners across commercial, marketing and corporate functions

  • Foster an inclusive culture

Technical Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. MBA or CPA preferred

  • Minimum 5 years of related financial experience

  • Experience with P&L management, financial modeling, forecasting, reporting and analysis.

  • Experience evaluating business performance metrics and translating to applicable recommendations.

  • Proficiency in Accounting and general GAAP knowledge

  • Knowledge in Anaplan, Power BI, and Oracle
