Join the Foundational Technology team as the Director of Technical Product. Foundational Technology consists of Core Online, Frostbite Engine and Pipelines, Content Tools, Infrastructure and Automated Testing, Architecture, and Machine Learning. Our team’s mission is to build the technical foundation for future Battlefield games.

This role is open to remote work between GMT-6 and GMT+1.

Responsibilities:

  • Build Battlefield business case for long-term technology investment strategy and present case in written and oral presentations to senior production leaders, Battlefield Studio general management, and senior EA executives.

  • Work with senior technical leaders to create and share a consistent, ongoing, long-term Battlefield technology plan that covers all aspects of Foundational Technology.

  • Ensure alignment of technology plan across Foundational Technology areas where possible to define clear roles and responsibilities and seek efficiency across the team.

  • Convert Battlefield franchise and product objectives to Foundational Technology team objectives and promote individual and team responsibility for achieving them.

  • Responsible for working with Foundational Technology area leaders to set priorities and quality standards of technical product delivery that meet Battlefield product needs within budget.

  • Use Foundational Technology leaders to learn about industry and competition trends and share them across Battlefield.

  • Responsible to bring Foundational Technology leaders together to communicate across Battlefield, EA, and external partners on the progress of Foundational Technology programs, deliverables, shared goals, and value.

  • Works with a globally distributed team, able to attend meetings from 13:00 to 18:00 GMT (7:00 to 12:00 CT, 8:00 to 13:00 ET, 13:00 to 18:00 BT, 14:00 to 19:00 CET) daily and able to travel internationally up to once a quarter.

Qualifications

  • Preferred technical background.

  • Have 5+ years of program management or related experience.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in change management, process improvement, business analytics, and program management, preferably within a technical environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to action based on high level direction, requesting clarification and assistance when required, but generally able to self-solve roadblocks.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with senior roles and successfully motivate them to support program objectives.

  • Excellent oral and written English skills.

  • Demonstrates proficiency in Jira, Microsoft and Google suites, Confluence.
