Reporting to the Head of Technology of EA's Quality Verification group, you will take ownership of the AI and ML discipline in QV, focusing on driving it forward.

As a leader in the central engineering team, you are expected to continue building on our cultural & technical foundations to help EA create the highest-quality games possible across our entire portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Explore the practical application of AI in the game testing domain. Look for high value opportunities to automate and enhance existing Quality Verification workflows with AI.

  • Create and lead a centre of excellence for AI in QV.

  • You will participate in internal and external events that help share knowledge and promote EA's technical brand in our industry. As such, you will be the face of EA's QV group in the AI domain.

  • The AI domain is dynamic and evolves at a rapid pace. You are expected to keep current with industry developments and provide technical and strategic insights to QV's leadership group.

Required Qualifications

  • Technical skills

    • Computer Science degree or equivalent.

    • At least 7 years experience with AI in a technology-focused environment.

    • Knowledge of and experience with modern AI systems and tools like LLMs and other generative AI as they pertain to business and technical solutions.

    • You can explore problems and define solutions, looking for opportunities to apply AI and build proofs of concept.

  • Soft skills

    • We are looking for someone who is collaborative and can create relationships with partners and domain experts from other teams around EA.

    • You are expected to lead a community of AI practitioners in the QV organisation.

    • You will work in a distributed team and are expected to work independently towards goals and deliverables.

BC Compensation and Benefits

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location. EA has listed the base salary ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

Base Salary Ranges

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria): ΒΊ $134,250 - $220,050 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.

This role is flexible regarding location, can be fully remote or hybrid at one of EA's many worldwide locations.
