What a Development Manager does in FC Game Development Analytics:

A Development Manager in FC Game Development analytics oversees analytics projects from initiation to completion. This involves defining project scope, goals, and deliverables, creating project plans, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.

You will play a scrum master role and will manage the scope vs capacity and timeline of the entire analytics project, which in turn guides them to set achievable goals. Therefore, what the team delivers at the end of every sprint has the required quality and supports the larger business goal.

We are looking for a Development Manager to join our growing team of data experts; to manage the processes, to guide and coach the analytics team on how to get the most out of self-organization and fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks. You will report to the Sr Manager Analytics of the game development analytics.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint demos, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.

  • Manage each project’s scope and timeline and negotiate details of project deliverables.

  • Monitor project progress and resolve any emerging issues.

  • Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings, and daily stand-ups.

  • Coach team members in Agile frameworks and guide them on how to use Agile/Scrum practices.

  • Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration.

  • Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests.

  • Help teams implement changes effectively.

  • Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint.

  • Remove obstacles that affect the team's ability to meet project objectives.

  • Report on project status and progress to stakeholders.

  • Lead and coach the team in its scrum process adoption.

Team management

  • You will get directly involved in recruiting and onboarding the team members,

  • Schedule the activities of the team, including the vacation planning and other free days.

  • Coordinate the work volume and assign activity to each member of the team, so that they complete their work tasks in time and in a thoughtful way

  • Manage the professional development process of the team, together with the Sr Manager Analytics identifies the actual talent, but also the development possibilities of each member of the team;

Requirements

  • Experienced in a project manager role for at least 3 years for a software development analytics team

  • Experience in different project management methodologies; ideally Scrum Master Certified or PMP certification.

  • Plan and manage numerous processes and projects simultaneously.

  • Education requirement University degree bachelor’s or equivalent professional experience .

  • Knowledge of Agile approaches – Kanban, Scrum, XP, Jaas etc.

  • Experience using data to contribute to product quality and project efficiency; effective at understanding KPIs and OKRs to support the business needs.

  • Work in an environment that values collaboration.

  • Fluent in English.

BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location. EA has listed the base salary ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria): º $77,600 - $130,500 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
