Come join us! We’re hiring a Contract Specialist. within EA’s Legal Team. You will report to a Senior Contract Specialist or Senior Product Counsel and be based in one of the following EA office locations: Guildford, UK, Los Angeles, CA, Tiburon, FL Toronto, Canada, Austin, TX, or Vancouver, Canada

Your responsibilities include:

  • Under the guidance and direction of a supervising Product Counsel and in line with EA's standard templates and guidance, you will draft, negotiate, and review a wide range of commercial agreements, including software and content licenses, talent agreements, consulting agreements, SaaS agreements (including data protection agreements), influencer and promotion agreements.

  • Quickly escalate issues to appropriate internal teams where needed, and collaborate with those teams to find creative solutions for those issues.

  • Under the guidance and direction of a supervising Product Counsel, adapt and update contract templates for different needs.

  • Participate in recurring meetings with legal colleagues and business partners to build a knowledge of the products, business, and business teams you support, and determine how to prioritize work.

  • Collaborate with colleagues within the Legal department to contribute to internal projects, including updates to contract templates and other internal tools and reference materials.

Qualifications and achievements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. Paralegal certificate from ABA approved program preferred, but not required.

  • 3+ years of experience as a paralegal with a law firm or in-house providing services for technology or entertainment clients.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with business partners and legal colleagues.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to establish strong working relationships with business partners.

  • Ability to manage the entire contract process from initial contract request, negotiation, and through execution, under the direction of a supervising Product Counsel.

  • Ability to handle a high volume of work with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload efficiently and effectively.

  • Desire to learn and grow in the role.

  • Experience in the Games Industry is a plus. Experience with contract lifecycle management systems is also a plus.
