The Challenge Ahead:

The .NET SW Engineer develops the toolset that support the localization process to provide video games in up to 20 languages. You will be a knowledgeable .NET developer (C#) that can translate user and technical requirements into Web applications that communicate with our systems to support our business.

What a .NET Sw Engineer does at EA:

As a .NET SW Engineer, your primary focus will be to work within an Agile development team, with the Product Owner and the Software Engineers to provide and maintain the EA Localization applications portfolio. You will translate user stories into designs and development tasks, and you will implement them in applications. Also, to design own code and review peers' code to contribute to the development of peers' projects.

Reporting to the Technical Director, you will also spend time understanding our technology, not only from a localization point of view but also from game studios or other EA departments. You will make the best use of it to provide the toolset and infrastructure used to localize the game, extending and improving its functionality with reusability in mind. To bring software and present its functionality to users and partners, to create user and technical documentation, and to train and support the users will be also among the responsibilities.

The .NET Software Engineer will contribute to expanding the reach of games to a wider audience and will enhance both studio and localization processes to improve efficiency. This will facilitate the production of larger games with more frequent updates

The next great .NET Sw Engineer also needs:

  • University Degree (BSc) in Software Engineering or equivalent academic background.

  • From 3 years professional experience in software development in production teams close to the customer.

  • Development experience using .NET framework (C#), ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, Redis

  • Desirable experience with Azure

  • Familiarity with various design and architectural patterns.

  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices and tools, such as Continuous Integration, Version Control (Git).

  • Experience working with Agile methologies, (Scrum/Kanban).

  • Strong debugging skills and fluency in reading code.

  • Experience with Web APIs, REST.

  • Relational DB design and optimization. StrongSQL knowledge.

  • Experience working within multicultural and distributed/remote teams will be a great plus.

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
