Test Engineer 1

Responsible for developing and executing Manufacturing Test Process test cases for newly developed or current hardware products. Owns development of Manufacturing Test Process test cases for all phases of test for assigned products/technologies. Creates or modifies test cases to ensure proper coverage for new technologies. Maintains respective test cases based on: lessons learned, feedback, introduction of new peripherals, obsolete technologies, end-of-life peripherals, etc. Drives action items to closure for test escapes and process.

What you’ll achieve
As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and documenting test plans and test cases for newly developed or current hardware and solutions products based on the Business Contract product specifications. You will collaborate with designers and technologists to determine test requirements and develop test tools for test projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will:

Work with developer and technologist to determine test requirements and write test cases and develop test tools for server projects and construct troubleshoot and test prototype assemblies. Document as appropriate.
Set up, configure hardware and software products. Perform specified test cases and clearly document results.
Work with developer to resolve product issues discovered during test, if applicable
Defines and implements new test methodologies to reduce test time and increase test coverage.
Evaluate effectiveness and implement a continuous improvement process for test cases during and after test projects.

Essential Requirements

5 to 8 years of related experience.
Server experience and knowledge are preferred.
Proficient in understanding of a wide array of PC/Server technologies, including basic Intel x86 or ARM architecture, RAID, uEFI and BIO.
Solid understanding of hardware and software system architecture and interactions and should be able to apply it to resolve issues.
Enthusiastic about learning new tools, languages and operating systems.

Desirable Requirements
•Bachelor’s degree (Preferred BSCS, BSCE, or BSEE)
