Sr Analyst, Import/Export

Global import-export in the world of ground-breaking technology is a complicated business. It takes real attention to detail to comply with all U.S. and regional import and export regulations. Our Import-Export team within Materials and Procurement provides trade compliance support for end-to-end order management and delivery processes. We’re experts in what we do, from assessing global trade risk and providing mitigation strategies, to delivering strategic and tactical support in developing international supply chains, to implementing strategies to reduce import expenses and auditing all documentation.

What you’ll achieve:

The successful candidate will have the chance to work with trade experts from multiple countries with in-depth knowledge across all areas of trade compliance from assessing global trade risk and providing mitigation strategies, to delivering strategic and tactical support in developing international supply chains, to implementing strategies to reduce import expenses and to auditing all documentation. The candidate will be able to influence Dell’s future policies on managing trade compliance at a country, regional & global level. The candidate will have a chance to obtain global content knowledge by leveraging content experts on country-specific requirements and its practical applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will:

  • With direction, handles complex import/export activities for Indonesia.

  • Collaborates with customs brokers, providing necessary paperwork and information to partners/customers and handle escalations with local customs.

  • Provides subject matter expertise on complex deals related to Indonesia’s import laws/regulations.

  • Assists in communicating and training on policies, customs regulations, and logistics management and helps maintain and develop processes for managing customs brokers.

  • Compiles relevant import/export related reports for business operations and drives continuous improvement projects to enhance import/export systems, processes, and policies.

  • Assists in analyzing and maintaining the company’s import/export related data

Essential Requirements 

  • A motivated individual with 3 + years of import/export related experience, a Bachelor’s degree and strong knowledge of import/export requirements.

  • Demonstrated skills in resolving complex compliance/business requirements

  • Analytical skills, be detail oriented, and possess the ability to anticipate problems and diffuse situations

  • Strong project management and computer skills (emphasis on Microsoft Office programs) is required with fluency in power point is preferred.

  • Fluent in English language is required, additional fluency in one or more local non-English language(s) is preferred.

  • Excellent interpersonal skill, in both written and oral

  • The ability to function both as a team and individual player with the ability to shift priorities as required by the global trade compliance team and business operations

Desirable Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline.

  • Advanced degree in business, law, or government affairs, Diploma / Courses on International Trade or Import Export / Export Controls is preferred.
