Principal Supplier Process Engineer

SUMMARY

Interfaces with development and supplier engineering to provide materials and components for company product manufacturing. Develops and prioritizes an auditing schedule to ensure that designated suppliers are audited on a regular basis and manufacturing practices and quality standards are met. Monitors parts from acquisition through the manufacturing cycle and communicates and resolves supplier-related problems as they occur.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Works closely with suppliers, sustaining groups and extended core team to ensure product productibility at the supplier
• Identifies potential quality risks to the supply chain and assures capacity and continuity of supply for specific componets
• Assists in excursion management through root cause analysis
• Provides recommendations and risk assessments on new suppliers and new process technology
• Responsible for sustaining activities, process activities and driving implementation and validation of improvement/corrective actions
• Works with the supplier to develop and implement the quality management plan using industry tools and standards to drive quality improvements and initiatives
• Responsible for specific commodity quality and and provides recommendation to Commodity Team for supplier selection
• Supports activities and initiatives to include timely new product launching and stable ramp to ensure time to volume
