Hardware/Mechanical Power Engineer - Federal Customer

Job summary

The Systems & Power Engineering professional supports Dell Mission Operations by designing, integrating, validating, and sustaining technical infrastructure required for mission operations. This role is responsible for systems analysis, hardware integration, power and environmental considerations, test support, and technical documentation. The ideal candidate brings engineering depth, hands-on problem solving, and the ability to translate requirements into resilient, supportable solutions.

Key responsibilities

· Support system design, requirements analysis, and technical solution development

· Integrate and validate hardware, infrastructure, and subsystem components

· Develop or execute test plans, procedures, and technical evaluations

· Troubleshoot technical issues involving systems, hardware, or infrastructure

· Contribute to rack, power, cooling, cabling, and physical integration planning as applicable

· Produce technical documentation, diagrams, procedures, and support artifacts

· Coordinate with security, network, automation, and field teams during implementation

· Recommend improvements that enhance performance, reliability, and maintainability

Required qualifications

· Experience in systems engineering, hardware engineering, infrastructure engineering, or related roles

· Ability to analyze technical requirements and support system integration efforts

· Experience with hardware troubleshooting, validation, or lab/test activities

· Strong technical writing and documentation skills

· Ability to work onsite in a secure operational environment

· Active TS/SCI and ability to maintain access as required by the program

Preferred qualifications

· Experience with data center, lab, or secure infrastructure environments

· Experience with power, mechanical, or environmental support considerations

· Experience with vendor coordination or hardware lifecycle planning

· Familiarity with modeling, design reviews, or structured engineering methods

· Experience supporting government or classified programs
