Crystal Dynamics is on the hunt for a proactive Engineer. In this role, you'll be instrumental in contributing to our AAA game projects. If you have a blend of foundational engineering skills and a passion for gaming, this is your chance to be part of our vibrant team, making significant contributions to exciting game titles.

As an Engineer, Generalist, you will:

  • Collaborate with the Lead Engineer, ensuring that your contributions align with the systems development for optimization and performance.

  • Work closely with design teams to translate game ideas into working systems and functions.

  • Provide support to our engineering team, assisting with technical challenges and queries.

  • Participate in code reviews, continually enhancing the quality and efficiency of our game systems.

  • Address technical issues, offering solutions that maintain the project's momentum.

  • Keep pace with the ever-evolving gaming industry, pondering how the latest advancements can be incorporated into our projects.

  • Engage with external collaborators when needed, ensuring smooth coordination for build reviews.

To be considered for this role, we require the following:

  • Relevant experience as an Engineer or a similar role in the game development industry.

  • Familiarity with game engine architecture, gameplay systems, and tools.

  • Proficiency in C++ programming within real-time game engine, ideally Unreal Engine but open to comparable engines.

  • A solution-oriented approach to addressing technical challenges.

  • Strong communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts clearly.

Preference will be given to candidates who have:

  • Played a role in the development of highly rated 3rd Person Action-Adventure games.

  • Demonstrated experience with the Unreal Engine.

It'll be a bonus if you also have:

  • Contributed to the development of a AAA game

The pay range for this role includes the annual base salary, not including bonus and the generous benefits package that Crystal Dynamics provides all full-time employees. Individual compensation is determined by work location within our approved states or regions, as well as additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education. Your recruiter will be able to share more information about total compensation.

Pay Range (United States)

$90,000—$155,000 USD

Pay Range (Canada)

$82,000—$135,000 CAD
