We're seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Narrative Designer to work closely with our Narrative Director, helping bring narrative events to life in Unreal Engine. This role requires someone with technical expertise in Unreal Blueprints and a passion for seamless narrative implementation. While this position focuses on the technical side of narrative design rather than story creation, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring that our narrative content is interactive, engaging, and highly polished.

You'll Own

  • Collaborate with the Narrative Director to implement narrative events in Unreal Engine.

  • Utilize Unreal Blueprint systems to integrate narrative into interactive gameplay experiences.

  • Prototype, troubleshoot, and refine narrative events to ensure smooth player experiences.

  • Debug technical issues related to the implementation of narrative systems and content.

  • Work in tandem with other team members to align narrative implementation with gameplay.

  • Give and solicit feedback throughout the process to ensure a high quality and player-centric design principles are upheld.

  • The ideal candidate will be expected to leverage cross-discipline systems and features, including, but not limited to adapting and creating gameplay mechanics, cinematics, animations, and SFX to support a fully immersive and interactive narrative experience.

Your Skills & XP

  • Proven experience with Unreal Engine and a strong understanding of Blueprint scripting.

  • Previous experience implementing narrative events in games or similar technical work.

  • Familiarity with narrative design principles and their application in games.

  • Self motivated and able work independently as part of a fully distributed and, at times, a-sync team to meet deadlines and milestone requirements

  • Mid-level expertise preferred—this role is not suited for interns or entry-level applicants.
